Quite often the parts will fit in the bassoon case (the tubes will usually fit in the bassoon's long joint and are very smooth):

Some parts are made from a high quality durable plastic, these parts cannot be carbon fibre as it cannot be machined in the required fashion.

Light yet sturdy. I have just purchased the carbon fibre bassoon stand and am happy with it. The back rest and foot stand do not fit inside my wiseman case but that’s a small price to pay for such an easy to transport and use stand.

Bassoon stand

Well it’s certainly light and seems sturdy enough. It didn’t come with any instructions so it took me a while to work out how to put it together. Also be warned that it took 4 months to arrive from ordering it, but so far I’m very happy with it.

Perfect, but some pieces are made of plastic

I love my new stand, but I was a bit disappointed when it arrived and I saw some pieces made of platic. I thought it would be 100% carbon fiber since there was no mention of plastic. I felt betrayed... BUT, the stand is perfect for me.

I am glad to hear you love the stand! Regarding the one plastic part, there is no other way as carbon fibre is not solid and it is impossible to machine it how is required. The plastic is however very durable and well machined. We will update the description to make this clearer.

Basson stand

Delivered today. The instructions are ridiculously complicated but the stand is very easy to put together with a bit of common sense. It looks tiny but seems very sturdy, very light and very compact.

light weight and secure. easily fits in case cover compartment. lovely appearance on stage. I hope this stand lasts years and years and years. (I also hope I last years and years and years!).

Oboe reed staples

Delivery was slow… I was told that order had been despatched on Saturday 11th but it didn’t arrive until Thursday 16th!

1x medium hard, 1x medium oboe reeds

Reeds arrived promptly and the responses is satisfactory. Only minor adjustments are needed but it's really to adjust to suit my personal quirks.

We haven't used the reeds yet as we have bought them as back-ups for when the current reed breaks, but they were carefully packaged and we like the cute pencil which came with them too!

Good quality medium-hard bassoon reed

I am a good level amateur (post grade 8) playing on a good Adler Sonora bassoon, but I find that many of the reeds offered by professional players who also sell reeds are too hard for me and my instrument, even ones sold as being of medium strength. Unfortunately I don't have the training to make adjustments to such reeds so that they are playable for me. I have shopped around over the years for a brand of reed that is consistently suitable for me and eventually hit upon these. They are not entirely consistent in quality I feel, but I have purchased about 9 or 12 in recent years and have found that nearly all have been useable after a few weeks of 'breaking in'. I would definitely recommend trying these if you're looking for a more medium style of reed.

Very pleased with the reed. Solidly finished and exactly as described

Ordered 1 student reed and 1 medium soft. Took a while to arrive, however both reeds were good quality. Especially good on low and middle ranges.
