Item was not exactly as described....

I ordered "Abracadabra Oboe" (instruction book), which was to have come with 2 CDs. However, I received the version without CDs with instructions for downloading the tracks. I emailed Crook and Stable about this discrepancy but received no reply. I'm quite disappointed in the lack of response.

Bassoon Reed Wrapping Thread

Great thread and the perfect thickness for wrapping bassoon reeds. A lovely bright red that looked the same on-line as it did when it arrived.

Not my usual choice

My first time buying Argento. Normally buy Marsden but they have been out of stock for a long time and delays when buying direct also. Argento had great reviews. Ordered two reeds - came in bright blue thread not the usual dark. One reed was fine after a bit of scraping. The other reed wasn't immediately playable so will keep forgetting emergency and scrape it at a later date.

Amazing dark tone right up through the registers!

Bought these instead of the C&S Pro which are out of stock. Was recommended them as a good substitute. They certainly are. Thanks very much. Looking forward to playing the finale of Tchaik Pathetique on it (2nd bassoon).

I compared this with several reeds of a comparable price: it plays straight from unpacking with a clear tone. I'll be ordering more!
