KGE Oboe Cane Gouged & Shaped (per 10). The tube cane it was made from had a diameter of 10.5-11mm & it has been gouged to 0.58-0.59mm, with a centre to side ratio of 0.15mm. The cane is of a medium hardness. The shape used is KGE's standard europian 'B' shape which tends to work well for most British and European oboists.

I haven’t tried tying any reeds with this set as I still have a few from a competitor. I wii say that the set arrived in a timely fashion, and appear t be of good quality.

The cane is really great! I just started to scrape and tie my own reeds and the softness (In my opinion) of the cane makes it easy to scrape. I love this company!
